About Kim Bjorn
“I have a true passion for helping people,” Kim Bjorn says. “My greatest joy is to see the people I work with grow and become their best selves.”
Kim Bjorn’s love of people drove her to become a social worker. “I easily engage with individuals to build rapport — this is a really important aspect to any relationship — building a foundation of trust.” Kim Bjorn earned degrees from both North Carolina State University and University of Washington. She has over 20 years of experience she brings to each and every session she has.
“I am an empath, so I do use intuition and energy to assess how a person is processing and relating to the situation we are in at the time. I am also a Reiki Master and will likely reference energy and Chakras when talking with you. I can provide Reiki virtually, but I use it as a way to help you — to reduce your anxiety and panic.”
Kim Bjorn’s unique, eclectic approach makes therapy with her a truly transformative experience.
Joy is a key concept that I express and help people identify where it is in their life or work. I’m the kind of person that dances in their car, sings in the store when Hall and Oates is playing (they are always playing in the store), and really doesn't care if people think I am silly. I’m not saying you need to do that too, but I do want to help you find and embrace the moments of joy in your life and duplicate them.”
Even if you feel like it’s been missing for a long time, Kim Bjorn can help you find the joy in your life.
“Ultimately, I see emotions falling into 2 perspectives — Love or Fear. I help others identify what they fear and transform it to Love.”

One more note: it’s important to me to give back.
I have always given back to my community, whether it was volunteering my time or giving money to support a cause. Several years ago I was listening to my favorite morning radio show — The Bob Rivers Show (now on Pod Cast) and he had a World Vision radio-thon. He actually did this several times and yes — my family now supports 3 children in Africa. We have done this over 10 years and actually had one child graduate and of course we added another in her place. World Vision is a great organization and worthy of support.
In 2012, the Sandy Hook school shooting was truly heartbreaking. As a parent, it shook the confidence of safety in what was a norm for our society — sending your kids to school. I knew I wanted to do something in honor of these little souls and I started to donate to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Since I have worked in Health Care for over 20 years and my journey started working in a group home with kids with disabilities — I am aware of the need for St Jude.
Do you have a childhood friend that is like family. I did, and her name was Jill. She lost her battle with breast cancer in 2015. She was a school teacher in Alaska and a foster mom to dogs and cats — a lot of them. In her honor, and for the love I have for the furry animals in my life, I give to the ASPCA. If you love animals (furry or not), consider donating to the ASPCA.
